I am a Bilingual Latinx/immigrant therapist who has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California with a concentration in adult mental health. I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can share their story, gain insight, increase personal strengths, and be themselves to have a happy and meaningful life. I strongly believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and for this reason, I utilize strengths-based, client-centered, and cultural-informed approaches.
I have experience working with a variety of populations including minorities, immigrants, and the LGBTQ+ community. I also have experience working with older adults, children, adolescents, and their families with a variety of diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, ODD, and PTSD.
I incorporate evidence-based interventions such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness in my sessions to effectively reduce symptoms. I strongly believe that therapy does not have to be boring; I try to make sessions fun by incorporating art, music, games, and video games.
I truly believe that therapy can change a person’s life. My main goal is to provide unconditional positive regard to my clients and to use the best of my knowledge to assist them to overcome adversities of life.
